Comment: Not long after I was saved, a deacon and his wife in our church had some tapes by a preacher named Ed Ballew. They said you will like his preaching. BOY DID I! I had never heard preaching like that in all of my life! One of the messages was from 2nd Pt. 3:18. His text was "BUT GROW". God used that message to get me into the Word of God. Not long after that, The Lord called me to preach. Bro. Ballew was truly my father in the ministry. Bro. Mason Holiday is his grandson who does this website. I value his friendship highly. He made a lasting impression on me and I still remember one of the stories that he told about Dad Speer. I moved away from the North Georgia area and never had another opportunity to hear Bro. Ed's wife and not soon after he went to glory. on my old phone i had recoreded him but lost the audio and then the video. did anybody record the service. It was an awesome night. please i would love a copy of it. it was the first time i saw Preacher Ed and i love to hear him, I am from south texas and now in Louisiana.

Comment: I was saved by the grace of GOD on aug. 11th 2013 3 years after the death of Dr. Ballew but he had a big part in my salvation, i came across his preaching a few months prior and he really spoke to me. Thanks for passing such great preaching on so that this west virginian could hear it.

Comment: The first time I heard Br. Ballew was in Cleveland TN as he preached "Be A Good Soldier", in 1985, a message that began to change my life and help me grow in Grace. I tried to go hear him every chance I could, what a great preacher and a true soldier of The Cross. When I was blessed to go to New Guinea in 1998 he would e-mail me, once he ask “is there anything good could come out of East Chattanooga”, I told him only The Lord could bring anything out of there. He was a dear friend and a blessing to me.

Comment: I remember Ed Ballew coming to preach at our church in Jacksonville, FL when I was a child. My sister and I were discussing him the other day and one of our favorite things to see him do was to go out into the isle and say, "Amen Brother Ballew". He knew how to preach the gospel. I will always remember him.

Comment: Thank you so much for creating this site. Bro. Ed is my favorite preacher of ALL time. Years ago, a dear Pentecostal lady gave me a cassett of Bro. Ed preaching on "PRAYER." I made SO many copies of that tape and they have been all over North Florida and in the states of GA, SC, NC, VA, WVa, and even out in AZ. He blessed me more than you will ever know and I am still being blessed by his sermons on the internet. His reach for Jesus is still being extended. I hope soon to meet you in person.

Comment: As a teenager, I was raised up in Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida from 1957 through 2000. I heard Bro. Ballew preach in many Revivals at my Church. He gave me a book that he wrote on "Hell" during one of the Revival meetings which I still have in my possession. Bro. Ed was instrumental in my Master of Theology degree from The Rock of Ages College of Biblical Studies and Theological Seminary back in 2015. I will never forget Bro Ed preaching for us at Calvary Baptist in Jax Fl.
